Tuner, drumloops...

Guitar tuner

Tuning your guitar is the first thing you want to do before playing. Make sure it’s in tune is absolutely essential. A song even beautifully played could be literally ruined because of a string just slightly out of tune!

The best and easy way is to purchase an electronic tuner. The other important thing is to pull each string hard enough just like in the photo…

Every guitar string, nylon string especially, tend to lose their tension with time, but also with temperature difference. Yank the strings this way (especially if you’ve just put a new set of string on your guitar) will avoid you to tune up the string many times before it reaches the right pitch!

Metronomes and Drumloops

Another useful tool, once you’re in tune, you have to make sure to play in rhythm! A metronome is always annoying to play along with, but you won’t regret it as it will keep you tight. The metronomes online or as an app for your smartphone are allover the place

Drumloops are more pleasant to play with, there is plenty of cool drum loops softwares with nice rhythms on the net, not always for free…this one below is a playlist of mp3 drumloops that I made myself, simple drums to more funky ones, in different tempos…and available for DOWNLOAD!
